Here comes Peter Cotton-Tail (2)

I'm so far behind that I don't think I'll ever catch up....to the Easter Bunny!!! We had a fun Easter this year. Lance has been working so much that we weren't sure if he would be able to celebrate with us, but he had a "bye" on Sunday and was able to spend the day with us. In the morning, before we went to check out the loot from the EB, I tried to remind the kids about the real meaning of Easter. When I brought up the subject Allie said "Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know, Jesus was resurrected. Can we go find Easter Eggs now?" In tender moments like those I realize what a great job we are doing as parents. Next year, the EB will be visiting us on Saturday instead of Sunday. The kids looked cute in their Easter finery. We drove to Carlsbad to go to church with the Bakers and have a delicious dinner after. Jamie had planned a mini-fireside after dinner where we did talk about the true meaning of Easter, while the kids ate MORE candy.

Happy Birthday to You!... and You!

For those of you who know us, you know that Lance and Allison share a birthday. March 14th. I realize that today is March 20th. I'm behind. My excuse is that I got a new camera and I don't know how to download the photos from my new camera to the computer, yet. Lance has to do it for me. However, Lance is hardly ever home. So, no post on the actual birthday. Allie celebrated her "Birthday Week" going to Disneyland with her Grandma and Grandpa M, getting a pedicure and having cake and ice cream with her friends. It worked out well because the father's of Allie's friends just happen to be Lance's friends too, so we had a double celebration in their honor. We thought we were going to have to celebrate Lance's birthday without Lance but he got a reprieve from the LOST cutting room and joined us for his own birthday party. Happy Belated Birthdays to my two sweeties!

A Visit from G&G

We had a fun week with Grandma and Grandpa M. Jackson took a shine to Grandpa and wanted to be held constantly. Grandpa wasn't complaining. We took Allie to D-Land for her "Birthday Week," we got pedicures, we ate at In N' Out, we got Diddy Reese cookies, all the traditions. It was great having them come visit us. Hopefully next time they come, we will have a house so that they can actually sleep in the same bed while they are here.

Let the Brainwashing Begin

Lance wants to make sure Jackson becomes a Padres fan, so he has started the indoctrination early. I think that because Jackson was born in Los Angeles and will live here for many years to come, he should be taught to be loyal to the Dodgers. What do you think?
