We were ready for church last week and I looked at all three of our kids and I realized how grown up they are looking. Rachel just completed fourth grade for crying out loud. Allie is so tall and skinny I have trouble finding pants that don't slide right off of her and Jackson is talking up a storm. My favorite thing that he says is "I wuv you Mommy!"
Jackson loves to put on everyone's shoes. I think it's funny. Lance says it is funny as long as he stops doing it before he becomes a teenager.
It finally happened. All the stars aligned and we got to take a family vacation. Lance finished up on LOST, the girls got out of school and we don't have to manage an apartment building anymore. YIPPEEEEEEE! We drove to Vegas, stayed at South Point and had so much fun. I didn't take that many pictures because I didn't feel like dragging my big camera around in the hot sun. So, all pics were taken on the iphone hence, not the usual quality. I think we decided to make this an annual trip. If you stay during the week, you can get great hotel rates. The kids are mostly interested in swimming and every casino has its own pool. It is not too far to drive in a few hours. The only drawback it that it is hotter than hell, but if you go in June even the temperature isn't too bad.
The first grade class at Allie's school put on a play last week called "The Weather Show." It was all about a lady who was looking to purchase an antique barometer. It was so cute to see her up on the stage singing "A Quest, Quest, Oh Yes! A Quest, A Quest for the ancient barometer!"
